About the Project

The Entrepreneurial Dream Project is a $100,000 non-dilutive grant fund and mentorship program benefiting new businesses that are building during COVID-19.

Recipients will receive non-dilutive capital and coaching from the Supermaker Mentor Network, a dream team of 40+ business leaders from Mark Cuban to Rebecca Minkoff, with representation from companies including Unilever, Adidas, Harry's, and many more.

Submissions are open now through June 15th, 2020.

We believe in the power of Supermaker to contribute towards an ambitious entrepreneurial future for the business leaders of tomorrow.

With small businesses under threat, and ambitions waning in the face of pandemic and mounting downturn, the Entrepreneurial Dream Project provides for those building in the face of adversity.

What will winners receive?

A financial award of $100,000 will be split equally between two companies.

Additionally, ten companies will receive mentoring from the Supermaker Mentor Network of acclaimed founders, executives, investors, and operators.

As part of the program, Supermaker will feature behind the scenes stories and insights from the exceptional, award-winning founders and mentors. We look forward to rallying and engaging the Supermaker community in support of aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs everywhere.



Who is eligible?

  • Companies whose products were made publicly available in 2019 or later; or, companies who have not yet launched
  • Must be pre-revenue or under $2.5M gross annualized revenue
  • Your company's products or services are available currently in commerce or are planned to be within six months from application
  • Your company and founder(s) have an active website and social media accounts demonstrating entrepreneurial activity
  • You are a US resident and at least 18 years old at the time of application
  • The company is based in the USA

Deadline: All applications are due by June 15th, 2020.

Evaluation

The EDP review board will evaluate all applications based on a variety of considerations, including the following:

  • The founder’s personal statement and team experience
  • Trajectory towards establishing a profitable business
  • Sustainability and social responsibility
  • Brand positioning and mission
  • The business plan
  • Proposed use of funds

What makes a good application:

  • Demonstration of your product's potential and ambition to capitalize on market opportunity
  • Transparency and willingness to share detailed information about the operations of your company
  • A compelling, specific idea for how you would use EDP funds

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my businesses started before 2019?

Unfortunately, we're not able to extend the eligibility window. However, we are working on ways to share learnings from the program and extend mentorship to more businesses that can benefit—stay tuned!

What if my business has special circumstances that make it unsure whether I should apply?

Fill out the application! We will review all circumstantial information and make a determination as to whether your business qualifies. If we have any questions, we will reach out for further information.

Will there be further rounds of evaluation beyond the application?

The EDP Review Board anticipates the need for further communication with some applicants after the deadline to receive applications has passed. We will not be reaching out to applicants until after the deadline.

What category of businesses are eligible?

There are no limits. B2C, B2C, CBD, consumer, tech, nonprofits—any and all are welcome to apply!
