Playing Field: A Grant Fund from Supermaker
A grant for women & nonbinary entrepreneurs
Throughout 2020, Supermaker will award $100,000 in non-dilutive grants benefiting women and nonbinary entrepreneurs.

What is Playing Field?

Playing Field is a $100,000 grant fund benefiting women and nonbinary entrepreneurs. Brought to you by Supermaker.

Funds will be dispersed equally amongst four winning applicants. Submissions for round one are open now until December 31, 2019.

Why?

We believe in the power of Supermaker to contribute towards a more just and equitable future for business leaders. And from the oft-cited stat that women receive only an estimated 2% of venture funds, to research that indicates startups led by women of color receive less than 1%, it's clear that underrepresented entrepreneurs face overwhelming barriers to funding their companies. Through Playing Field, Supermaker is on a mission to raise awareness and push back against this societal shortfall.

Who is eligible?

  • Companies that are owned by at least 50% women or nonbinary individuals
  • Your company's products or services are currently for use in commerce and available for purchase or hire
  • Your company has an active website and social media accounts
  • You are a US resident and at least 18 years old at the time of application
  • You identify as a woman or nonbinary individual

In support of Supermaker’s mission to support diverse and independent entrepreneurs from all backgrounds, Playing Field is designed specifically to fund women and nonbinary entrepreneurs who face marginalization.

What will winners receive?

A financial award of $100,000 will be split equally amongst four winners.

Additionally, as part of the Playing Field program, Supermaker is looking forward to featuring behind the scenes stories and insights from the exceptional, award-winning founders. We’re excited to further rally and engage the Supermaker community in support of diverse and underrepresented entrepreneurs. To stay up to date, follow Supermaker on Twitter.
